Covid 19 Information

How Cardiff Libraries and Hubs are operating in response to coronavirus (COVID-19).

In line with government guidance, we are working hard to re-establish services making sure that staff and communities stay safe.

We’ll update this page and our Facebook and Twitter  pages as further changes are made.

Cardiff Hubs and Libraries are now offering Advice Appointments and a Click and Collect library service.

Access is by appointment only, unless you need a Foodbank voucher or are picking up recycling bags.

Our staff will be using masks, disposable gloves and hand sanitiser.

We’ve installed Perspex screens at some staff desks.

We’ll provide hand sanitiser for you to use when you visit.

You must wear a face covering unless you’re exempt.

If you visit the library or Hub, staff will ask for your contact details to support the NHS Test and Trace system. These details will be kept securely, and destroyed after 21 days.

Please do not visit a Library or Hub if:

  • you have had coronavirus symptoms in the past 7 days
  • a member of your household has had coronavirus symptoms in the past 14 days
  • you have been in contact with someone who’s had coronavirus symptoms in the past 14 days
